How To Open “ Peach-tree Accounting”
This window shows the options that what we want to do. You
want to open an existing company, Set up a new company, Learn about Peach tree Accounting through an online tutorial, Explore a sample company, Convert from a Quick-books or One-Write plus company, or Close this window. So we want to open
new company so we click on “Set up a new company”
After clicking on “Set up a new Company” a new introductory
window open in which we have tell Name and Address , Chart of Accounts,
Accounting Methods, Posting Methods and Accounting periods of the company. We
click next button to proceed.
In this window we have to tell Company Name, Address, City,
State, Zip, Country Business Type, Email, Telephone, Fax. After giving
information we click next.
In this we have to
mention the “Chart of Accounts” whether we are Construction, Manufacture or
Distributor. You are using existing chart of accounts, Copy of existing
company, convert another accounting program or to build your own company. Then
we click on “Build your own company”
Clicking
on “Build your own company” a window open in which “Accounting Method”. There
are two types of accounting methods First is Accrual Basis second is Cash Basis. In Accrual income is
recorded as you invoice customer and expenses are recorded when you receive
bills from vendors. Most companies use this method. In cash income is recorded
when cash is received and expenses are recorded when paid. Once you choose the
accounting method it didn't change.So we click on “Accrual” and click on next button
for further proceed.

After clicking next
window open of “Posting Method”. In this window we have to select the posting
method for our transactions. There are two types of posting Real Time and
Batch. In Real Time transactions are posted to the general ledger as they are
entered and saved. Most of the companies use this method and in Batch
transactions are saved by the program and then posted in a group. This method
allows you to print registers and analyze a group of transactions before
posting the journals. and u can change posting method at any time. Selecting
“Real Time” option and click next.
A window opens in
which “Accounting Periods” are mentioned. There are two options are displayed
on the window. One is 12 Monthly Accounting Periods and second is accounting
period that do not match the calendar months. Select “12 monthly accounting
periods” and press next button.
In this “Monthly Accounting Periods” you have to choose
monthly accounting periods. Peach tree Accounting will automatically set up your
first two fiscal years based on the information provided below:
1, When do you want your first fiscal year to start? 2, What
is the first month you will be entering data? This year should be mentioned
carefully. In last What is the first year you will be entering payroll? Select
your desire years and then press next button to proceed.
In this last window the software “Congratulation” you to
finish your setting up “ Peach tree Accounting Company” with full information you
give to the software. Click “Finish” button to finish the setup windows “Click
Finish to close the Wizard”
This shows your information is “Creating data Files”
Finally this window will appear in front of screen which
means your company is build in “ Peach tree Accounting”
